The Dame Kelly Holmes Trust

Boomerang have partnered with athlete and youth development charity ‘The Dame Kelly Holmes Trust’.

Boomerang ran The Dame Kelly Holmes Trust’s first ever out of home campaign in January after becoming their media partner in late 2014.

The Trust are the only organisation that support the transitioning of post competitive World Class Athletes, utilising their unique experiences to mentor and support disadvantaged young people across the country. The work of the Trust speaks for itself – supporting over 170,000 young people into employment, education or training in just 6 years. Boomerang were lucky enough to receive a visit from two time gold Paralympic champion Graham Edmunds who spoke about his journey as an athlete as well as the fantastic work the charity do.

The campaign ran on D6’s across Boomerang’s London health club network targeting an active and motivated audience to promote the Trust’s ‘Double Gold Tour’ London to Paris bike ride.

January was a busy month for the charity sector with Marie Curie and Diabetes UK promoting swimming event fundraisers across Boomerang’s Health Club and Leisure Centre network. February is following suit with Comic Relief and their Make Your Face Funny for Money campaign running across 4 key environments.

“We’re really pleased to be in partnership with Boomerang Media and very excited to get involved in out of home advertising. Utilising OOH to promote The #DoubleGold Tour, our London to Paris bike ride, in gyms and health clubs was the perfect route to acquire traction from the right audience. The campaign allowed us to reach active adults who are more inclined to take on a challenge as a fitness goal. By taking part in one of our challenges not only are fundraisers able to get training support from World Class Athletes but their fundraising will help to make a big difference to our young people. We’re thankful for the support of Boomerang for this campaign and the partnership.”
