Boomerang take on the 3 peaks!

This June Boomerang will take to the hills in the 3 peaks challenge.

One month from now, on 12th June, 2017, team Boomerang will be climbing out of a coach after a 12 hour journey to begin our ascent up the tallest mountain in the UK – Ben Nevis.

Back in January, 18 team members here at Boomerang and our sister companies; Boomerang Education and Let’s Go with the Children, signed up to the 3 peaks challenge. The gruelling challenge is to hike the tallest peaks in Scotland – Ben Nevis (1,345m), England – Scafell Pike (978m) and Wales – Snowdon (1,085m) and, in case it wasn’t difficult enough already, Scafell Pike will be climbed during the night!

The challenge is a total hike of 24 miles with a combined ascent of 3000 metres . Travelling between peaks will mean 462 miles, and about 10 hours, in a coach. Not to mention the journeys up to Ben Nevis and back from Snowdon to Boomerang headquarters!

Regular training for the challenge is in full swing with weekly lunchtime walks, longer weekend hikes (with 6am starts!) and weekly circuit classes, all provided by Rom at YOLO fitness (https://www.facebook.com/yolofitness121/).
