UK Cinemas Open For Business

Boomerang opens back up UK Vue advertising network

As the UK government gradually eases lockdown restrictions, Boomerang Media are excited to now be in the planning stage for Vue Entertainment re-opening their cinemas across England.

An early -July opening from the cinema chain is on track as they prepare for a busy summer of  film, starting with the highly anticipated Christopher Nolan film Tenet and then followed by a myriad of family films like Mulan, The Secret Garden, Wonder Woman & Spongebob all due for release by the end of August. I’m sure many, like us, are also looking forward to heading back to the big screen experience. In fact in a recent YouGov Poll, 67% of Brits stated that they prefer the viewing experience in the cinema compared to streaming.

With many film releases postponed during the Spring, it means that the Autumn schedule is packed full of blockbusters like Bond: No Time To Die, Black Widow, The King’s Man and Top Gun: Maverick all showing before the end of the year.

Whilst seat capacity will be capped in theatres, Vue are increasing the number of screenings for each film with larger time gaps in-between the screenings to allow for social distancing to take place successfully. This will allow them the capacity to operate at peak pre-lockdown admission levels.

Our eye-catching D6 screens and large format video walls are situated in high footfall areas providing brands with high impact and repeated exposure, giving you plenty of opportunities to engage your target audience. Campaigns can also be bought by day-part or weekend/weekday for a more detailed, film or audience specific approach.

We are offering some exceptional value during the summer and early Autumn period for customers to take advantage of. During July, August and September we are running a 2 for 1 promotion allowing customers to get twice as much value from their cinema campaigns.
