Introducing our ‘Design a Climate Action Poster’ Competition
This year, the UK will host the global climate change conference, COP26, in November 2021 and here at Boomerang Media, we want to play our part in combating climate change. We’re constantly striving to make sustainable choices which is why in 2015, we created our Sustainability Pledge. Since then, we’ve reduced our CO2 emissions by 75% by making changes such as reducing the number of paper poster sites and switching to energy efficient digital screens instead. What’s more, 95% of our office waste is now recycled and our company vehicles are either hybrid or fully electric.
To help raise awareness of COP26 and inspire young people to help make a change, we’ve partnered with our sister company, Boomerang Education, and the Young People’s Trust For The Environment (YPTE), to launch Boomerang’s ‘Design a Climate Action Message Poster’ competition.
We’re asking school students between the ages of 8-18 years to design a poster to persuade and inspire the public to become more environmentally aware about climate change and lead environmentally friendly lives. The winning poster designs will be displayed on our digital screens around the UK during the COP26 Climate Change Conference plus the winner of each age category will receive one of our exciting prizes, which include an Apple iPad Pro, Wacom Cintiq creative tablets and STABILO GREENcolours™ colouring pencils.
Entries must be received by 12-midday on Thursday 21st October. For details on how to enter and full terms and conditions, please click here.
